Boron carbide nozzle is made of material from boron ore, which is the second hardest material found in nature, right after diamond.
By special reduction procedure with the carbon, the boron carbide is transformed into the crystalline form of tetrahedron. That makes crystals so hard that with propr sandblasting machine they can even make scratches into the diamond. This material is used for making the boron carbide nozzles for sandblaster machine, which makes it last for a long time with reduced wear. Boron carbide nozzles are placed in protective aluminum housing, whether wolfram carbide nozzles are in protective plastic casing.
